According to thepress service, the parties discussed further possible internationalefforts to support Ukraine's position.
Poroshenkoinformed the US Vice President on the results of the meeting ofForeign Ministers of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia in Berlinand outlined his vision for the next steps in line with theagreements reached.
The President stressed that he was ready to return to theceasefire as soon as it is confirmed bilaterally, as well as afterthe release of all hostages and establishing control of the borderwith the OSCE monitoring.
The President noted that he is ready to begin politicalnegotiations without any other additional conditions.
In turn, Biden assured him that the U.S. share and supportthe approach the President of Ukraine to resolve the situation inthese difficult times for the country and are ready to make effortsto achieve peace in the state.
The Presidentthanked the people of the United States and congratulated theVice-President with the upcoming Independence Day which Americacelebrates the 4th of July. "Ukraine is fighting for itsindependence today and we know its price," Poroshenkosaid.
