The appointment, submitted by the President, was supported by 260 deputies, Censor.NET reports.
After the voting, the newly appointed Head of the Ministry took the oath of allegiance. During the oath, he promised that the next military parade will be held in Sevastopol.
Nominating Geletei in the Parliament, Poroshenko noted that he has military experience.
"He has experience and he fought himself," the Head of State said, expressing hope that it will help the Colonel-General to deal effectively with his tasks during these difficult times.
