 Poroshenko Prohibited the Use of Rocket Artillery in Residential Areas – Defense Minister Koval

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko banned the use of rocket artillery in residential areas and the use of any weapons against civilians.

This was stated by Defense Minister Mykhailo Koval at a briefing, Censor.NET informs citing Liga.

"Our rocket artillery, especially in residential areas, is not being used. I'll tell you more, the President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces clearly set the objectives of the army - no use of weapons against civilians in any case. I and my staff are responsible for the implementation of this task with our heads," he said.

Commenting on the information that yesterday there were large civilian casualties as a result of the army's actions in Luhansk, Koval said: "We did not fire at Luhansk yesterday. It is absolutely not true. I've already told you that we are prohibited to fire at towns."
