The list of main conditions includes bilateral ceasefire, establishing control of the border with the OSCE monitoring, the release of all hostages, and meaningful consultation without any additional conditions.
This position was expressed by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valerii Chalyi on July 2 meeting with the diplomatic corps, Censor.NET reports quoting the press service of the Head of State.
"The President has done everything to give a chance to everyone who wants peace in the country. But, unfortunately, this call has not yet found an adequate response. Time of the ceasefire has expired," Chalyi noted.
The President remains committed to find a peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, said the Deputy Head of the Administration.
Speaking of the mechanism of the trilateral contact group that includes second Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, OSCE Special Envoy and Ambassador Heidi Tagliavini and Russia Ambassador Mikhail Zurabov, Valerii Chalyi said: "We are ready to continue consultations with the contact group in any suitable place to find a peaceful solution."
The Deputy noted that the situation in Ukraine needs further international support. He conveyed the gratitude of President Poroshenko to the leaders of states that support Ukraine's position in the search for peaceful solution and sympathetic to the decision taken regarding the suspension of unilateral ceasefire.
