The Security Service of Ukraine has established the identity of one of the leaders of the pro-Russian terrorists nicknamed Yakut the Sniper.

It is reported by Censor.NET, citing the press-serviceof the agency.

According to the report, thegroup of Yakut the Sniper is fighting with the ATO forces andterrorizing civilians in the Donetsk region upon instructions of the security agenciesof the Russian Federation.

"Yakut the Sniper is aUkrainian citizen Siatkin Denys, born 1972 in Magnitogorsk,Chelyabinsk region of Russia," the statement says.

In February and March, 2014he participated in the occupation of Crimea by Russian fighters. Hepersonally took down the national flag of Ukraine from SimferopolCity Council building. Later, under the leadership of his curatorfrom the Russian FSB (Federal Security Service) Captain AleksanderOber, the militant was preparing for relocation to eastern Ukraineto organize terrorist attacks and sabotage. Yakut received specialtraining at the Russian special services training base nearRostov.

It was determined that onJune 20 Yakut's group illegally crossed the state border of Ukrainein the Donetsk region near Dmytryivka as part of a convoy ofRussian military vehicles (5 tanks, 7 APCs and severaltrucks).

In late June, Yakut and hiscronies cynically shot at the positions of the ATO in Snizhnianskyidistrict of the Donetsk region. According to the Security Service,the militants were paid up to 2 thousand dollars for the crimescommitted.

"After the resumption of theATO the militant decided to escape inciting other terrorists to dothe same," the Security Service summed up.
