The terrorists in the Donetsk region split: some of them wanted to destroy the Donetsk police completely, while others opposed this decision.

This was stated by adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko, commenting storming of the police headquarters in Donetsk, Censor.NET reports citing Liga.

According Herashchenko, one group headed by "Bes" ("Devil," nickname of one of the leaders of Donetsk terrorists) wanted to destroy
completely the work of the Donetsk police. In contrast, another group, realizing that it would lead to negative attitude against the militants among the local population, opposed the action of "Bes".

"There's a certain balance when part of the terrorists understand that the police can not be destroyed, while the other, more directly controlled from Moscow, obey
the instructions of the Russian General Staff and the Federal Security Service," Herashchenko said.
