United States Supports Kyiv’s Decision to Resume the Anti-Terrorist Operation

The United States supports the decision of Ukraine to suspend the ceasefire and resume the active phase of the ATO in eastern Ukraine.

This was announced during a briefing in Washington on July 1 by Deputy U.S. State Department spokesman Marie Harf, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"Yes, we support it," said Harf, answering a reporter's question.

Describing the role of Moscow in the process, she said: "We think that the Russian government has largely been involved in the support of the separatists."

At that, Harf noted that the Ukrainian military show restraint during the active phase of the ATO.
