This was stated by expert of the Center for Military and Political Studies Kostiantyn Mashovets, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the checkpoint was attacked simultaneously from three sides.
"Unfortunately, the casualties do not amount to one soldier but at least 4 ... According to one source, 7 people were and according to another - 5 ... Terrorists really did use tanks, at least one of them was destroyed (but their number being 8 that appears in various reports and releases is seriously doubtful). During the battle artillery was used," stated the expert.
"The crews of the separatist tanks had decent professionals in their crews ... The Ukrainian anti-tank weapon was destroyed after the first shot," Mashovets wrote.
According to him, after capturing the checkpoint a special captured trophy team of terrorists went to work plus they filmed the place on camera.
"After collecting trophies, the terrorists supposedly retreated. They destroyed at least two Ukrainian APCs (BTR-80) and a anti-tank weapon. They also captured Vasilek (Cornflower) mortar and several boxes of ammunition," the expert said.
