 Medvedchuk Represents Terrorists of DPR and LPR in Negotiations – OSCE

Medvedchuk represents the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) terrorist organizations in tripartite negotiations aimed to resolve the conflict in the east of Ukraine

The OSCE report states this, Censor.NET reports citing LigaBiznesInform.

"A special monitoring mission met with the minister of information of the so-called DPR in Donetsk. He told the mission members that Medvedchuk was invited to the meeting as a representative of the DPR and the so-called LPR for negotiations with the Government with the assistance of the OSCE," the document says.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, the OSCE Chairman's representative Heidi Tagliavini, ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, pro-Russian politicians Viktor Medvedchuk and Oleh Tsariov, representatives of the DPR and the LPR took part in negotiations. It was agreed to cease fire during talks.

Earlier, presidential spokesman Dmitrii Peskov said that Putin proposed the Federation Council to cancel the decision on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. This issue will be discussed at a plenary session of the Federation Council on 25 June. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the National Security and Defense Council say they do not know what party Medvedchuk represented at yesterday's meeting in Donetsk.
