This was announced on Thursday in Moscow by Russian StateDuma deputy Viktor Vodolatskiy who attended yesterday's closedsession of the State Duma where Russian Defense Minister SergeyShoygu spoke, Censor.NETreports citing Ukrinform.
"There werequestions, and the Minister (Shoygu) clearly said that the RussianFederation, the armed forces of the Russian Federation do notinterfere and will not interfere in that conflict that is going ontoday in Ukraine," he said.
According toVodolatskiy the question was phrased as: "Will the Defense Ministryprovide assistance to the Donetsk and Luhansk republics?" to whichShoygu said "No". In addition, the Russian MP noted that the issueof sending Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine "to assistour compatriots" was not discussed in the Duma.
On Wednesday, June18 Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu addressed the State Dumadeputies within the "government hour" behind closeddoors.
