Russia Makes Kidnapped Orphans Hostages of Her Political and Propaganda Games - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The incident of the illegal transfer of the Ukrainian orphans to Russia can be qualified as an international abduction.

This was stated by Yevhen Perebyinis, head of Department of Information Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"Since there have been no permission to bring the children abroad, we have every reason to qualify such actions of the malefactors as an international abduction and illegal transfer of children. We believe that the position of Russia that makes the Ukrainian children hostages of its political and propaganda game must get a proper assessment of the international community," he said

He added that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry officially appealed to foreign governments and international organizations to urgently intervene and ensure immediate return of the Ukrainian children to their homeland, and also "strongly condemn the criminal actions that led to their kidnapping and smuggling into the territory of Russia."

As it was informed earlier, 25 children left Snizhne by bus for rehabilitation in the Dnipropetrovsk region. They included orphans and children from orphanages of family type. The bus, accompanied by the traffic police, was stopped at a checkpoint. The special traffic police car was cut off by armed representatives of the DNR. Later, the children appeared on the Russian border.

Later it was revealed that 16 children from the Snizhne orphanage were taken by force to Russia and placed in a refugee camp in Novoshakhtinsk.
