 Citizens of Mariupol are Asked not to Leave their Homes and Stay Calm. City is being Freed from Terrorists - City Hall

The Mariupol authorities urge residents to remain calm and not to leave homes if possible while the active phase of the ATO is carried out in the center of the city.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Mariupol City Council.

"The active phase of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) was initiated in the central part of the city today at 04.30 am. The traffic in the center of Mariupol is currently limited. Citizens of Mariupol are urged to remain calm and not to visit specified territory. Citizens living near the operation site are strongly advised to stay at their homes," the local authorities warn.

It is also reported that all medical institutions of the city are operates as usual. Hospitals have received two people with light and medium injuries as at 09.50 am.

The operation of clearing the area fortified by the terrorists who are led by the criminal boss nicknamed Chechen continues in Mariupol. The Interior Minister Arsen Avakov previously reported this information. The ATO forces destroyed 3 APVs, 2 truck carrying militants and weapons, 2 vehicles with installed heavy machine guns, the Information Resistance Group states.
