"Russia has involved tanks in the battle against Ukrainian troops. In a commentary for Censor.NET, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov stated that "last night three T-72 tanks crossed the state border of Ukraine from Russia. One tank is located in Snizhne village. Two other tanks moved out of the village. These tanks were intercepted by Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Snizhne. There is a fight going on right now. There are reports that one Russian T-72 was disabled."
According to Censor.NET's sources in law enforcement agencies, there are additional forces on the Russian territory in the immediate vicinity of the Ukrainian border - armored vehicles and multiple rocket launchers BM-21 "Grad" (Hail) which can also be sent to Ukraine at any time. Numerous residents of Snizhne who informed the Ministry of Interior Affairs regarding the tanks say that that the crews are not hiding the fact of their Russian origin and that they had come to "liberate Ukraine" which is their "internationalist duty." However, local people do not show support for the occupants.
