This was announced by Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller after a meeting with European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger, Censor.NET reports citing ITAR-TASS.
"The Russian side has made a step forward to continue constructive negotiations. Prepayment mode will not be implemented on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and its introduction has been postponed until 10 a.m. next Monday (June 16)," Miller said. He noted that "corresponding instructions have already been issued to Gazprom."
Miller stressed that the Russian side "is expecting constructive negotiations" with the Ukrainian delegation and the European Commission. Trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the EU will resume today at 09:30 Brussels time. They will be preceded by bilateral negotiations of the European Commission with Russia and Ukraine.
Previously, on June 9, a round of gas talks between Ukraine, Russia and the EU yielded no results.
