The militants who established control over Dolzhanskyi checkpoint call themselves representatives of the First Luhansk Cossack Hundred. They check documents and luggage of the people crossing the border.
The checkpoint regiment head Yurii says passenger flow at the site is quite active.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to stop traffic through some checkpoints on the border with the Russian Federation on June 5. Dolzhanskyi checkpoint was among them.
