 Poroshenko to Create Corridor for Civilians Fleeing ATO Area

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered to create a corridor for the civilians who want to leave the areas where antiterrorist operation is being conducted.

According to the press service of the President, Poroshenko discussed the issue at a meeting with the heads of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and the State Service for Emergency Situations.

"In order to prevent new casualties in the area of ​​antiterrorist operation, the Ukrainian President instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to create all necessary conditions for the civilian population that wants to leave the area," says the statement.

The President also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to organize transportation and medical service for people from the ATO area and to deploy mobile units to provide the civilian population with drinking water, food and medicine.

Local state administrations with the participation of local administration should work together with the government to accommodate people coming from the area of ​antiterrorist operation.
