 Donetsk People’s Republic Terrorists Prevented Evacuation of Over 500 Orphans from Luhansk, - Ukrzaliznytsia

The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) prevented the railroad from evacuating more than 500 orphans from Luhansk, according to the the company’s press service.

Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrainian Railways are doing everything in their power to evacuate people from dangerous areas. "Thus, the Railway has formed a special additional railroad train of 11 cars to evacuate over 500 orphans from Luhansk, which left from Odesa and was supposed to arrive this morning in accordance with a specially created schedule. However, the self-proclaimed leaders of the Donetsk People's Republic instructed Donetsk railway to inform Odesa and Pridneprovskaia Railways that this train will not be accepted," says the statement .

Due to such actions Ukrzaliznytsia was forced to return to the train back to Odesa.

"Also, the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic impede the evacuation of inhabitants from these regions by not accepting additional trains of Ukrainian Railways to Donetsk and Luhansk," emphasizes the press office.

Despite such actions of the DPR, Ukrzaliznytsia intends to continue to do everything possible to evacuate the children and residents from dangerous regions. At that, the children will be transported free of charge.

To ensure the evacuation of passengers from Luhansk and Donetsk regions Ukrzaliznytsia increased the number of trains from Luhansk and Donetsk for the period from 02 to 09 June. Thus, it increased the numbers of cars by 5 - 6 units (up to 18 - 20 cars) in a number of trains running to Luhansk and Donetsk.

It also introduced additional train # 563/564 Luhansk - Kyiv, consisting of 15 cars. The train will depart from Luhansk at 21:24 and arrive in Kiev at 14:26. The train will leave in the opposite direction on June 6 at 18:38 and will arrive in Luhansk the next day at 12:00 .
