 Border guards detained Russian soldier of Chechen ‘Vostok’ battalion. VIDEO

According to the report, the detainee is a native of the Chechen-Ingush Soviet Republic, born in 1985, soldier of the military unit #27777 of the Russian Armed Forces Ramzan Susarov. An AK assault rifle with 180 bullets, a Makarov gun, and a military uniform with armed vest were found in the trunk of the car he was driving, the statement reads.

The border guards noted that the circumstances of the incident are being clarified. After checkup, the soldier will be transferred to other law enforcement agencies.

During a security check it was found that he served in the Chechen 'Vostok' battalion. Susarov informed that the battalion had been redeployed to the Crimea and headquartered in Dzhankoi, and that he was a gunner assistant of a rocket launcher.
