He said this on Tuesday during a meeting with journalists on the First National Channel. Speaking about the improvements that the government has achieved under his leadership, he said: "The therapist with ten years of experience from the Ivano-Frankivsk ... earned 1,055 hryvnia ... and now she in the same month of 2013 her salary is 2,533 hryvnia..."
According to Azarov, the tariffs for housing and utility services have been stable in recent years. "How much, for example, our people are paying on average for gas and how much are people from the neighboring countries pay? The opposition and the media do talk about this... our average citizen pays 750 hryvnia per 1,000 cubic meters of gas..." said Azarov.
According to him, Russians and Belarusians pay more for gas. Azarov also said that in Sweden people pay for gas 20 times more than what people do in Ukraine. However, Azarov did not say a word about the fact that the average salary in Sweden is much higher than that than in Ukraine.
