On Saturday, February 9, at the World Biathlon Championships in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) women's 7.5 kilometers sprint race with two shooting bouts took place - Ukraine's Yelena Pidhrushna won the gold.

It should be noted that Ukrainian women have not won the World Cup biathlon since 1999, when at the 34th championship Ukrainian Yelena Zubrilova won three gold medals and one bronze, reports biathlon.com.ua.
