Professor of Political Science of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Oleksii Haran in a commentary to Censor.NET assessed the meetings of the Head of State during the forum.
"Yanukovych's visit to Davos indicates isolation of the President. In general, it is clear why Bankova could not even organize a meeting with Prime Ministers, even if they are not from leading countries. In reality nobody wants to meet with Yanukovych. Protocol with Shell was not signed by Yanukovych and Netherland Prime Minister was there for protocol only. These meetings could be held in Kyiv. Moreover, he was not even at Pinchuk's lunch, again, in order to avoid uncomfortable questions about Ukraine. The same applies to a meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia. It was not necessary to go to Davos," said the expert.
