Yanukovych lectured Azarov about reforms: nobody’s jamming fingers in doors

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov shall answer why the reforms in Ukraine are so poorly implemented.

On Jan. 17 President Viktor Yanukovych took part in a meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms, Censor.NET reports citing NBN.

"The general conclusion is that the intentions and declarations that had been made were great. The level of performance is very low. Why did this happen, I would like to hear from Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, and, of course, from the managers of the reforms," Yanukovych said.

On the whole the president noted that the promises and the declared intentions need to be done.

"I would like for us to realize that if we declare something, we are obliged to carry it out, no one, as they say, jams fingers in doors to make commitments. If you can, if you think it efficient - join us, please, if you show initiative - even better," he said.
