 Ukrainians are One of the Poorest Nations in Europe

In terms of purchasing power Ukraine is among the least well-off European countries.

According to Censor.NET a study of the international company GFK, which analyzed the potential spending this year in 42 European countries shows that, in 2013 on average, every citizen of these states will spend 12.8 thousand euros on goods and services, while the Ukrainians and citizens of eight other countries, including Belarus and member of the EU Bulgaria will spend less than 25% this amount.

The richest in Europe remain citizens of Norway and Switzerland, who will be able to spend twice the amount of the average European, and the absolute leader is Liechtenstein, with a population of about 35,000 people, where residents will spend 4 times more. "In general, 72% of European purchasing power is concentrated in in the hands of 50% of the analyzed countries," - said GFK.

Citizens of the biggest immediate western neighbor Ukraine - Poland - will spend 45% of the average European spendings against 81% in Slovenia, 58% in the Czech Republic and 60% in Slovakia.
