 Opposition Wants to Deprive Deputies of a Number of Benefits

The opposition proposes to eliminate free provision of deputies with holiday vouchers and compensation for housing.

The authors of the bill are Batkivschyna deputies Mykola Tomenko, Andrii Kozhemiakin and Arsen Avakov, reports UNIAN.

The document proposes to cancel the benefits for people's deputies, the effect of which, according to the adopted state budget for 2012, was suspended for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2012.

In particular, it is proposed to cancel: free provision of vouchers for health resorts, a one-time payment of monetary compensation to create decent living conditions and the payment of financial assistance for the period of employment, and unemployment benefits.

Also, the bill provides for the payment of financial assistance for rehabilitation on leave, payment of financial assistance in retirement and the right of retired deputies to travel for free once a year on the territory of Ukraine; ensuring retirement vehicles for the trip to the hospital and other needs for the rehabilitation and treatment, the right to of deputies and their assistants to receive a one-time compensation in case of early termination of powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; obligatory state insurance of life and health of people's deputies.
