 Court Refused to Release Lutsenko due to Health Reasons

Menskyy district court of Chernihiv oblast refused to release former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko due to bad state of health.

According to UNIAN, the resolution part of the corresponding decision was announced today on the meeting of Menskyy court in Menskaia colony by presiding judge Oleksandr Savchenko, thus denying the petition of Lutsenko's lawyers - Oleksii Bahanets , Ihor Balyk and Igor Fomin.

"The court decided to deny the motion of lawyers Bahanets, Balyk, and Fomin in the interests of convict Lutsenko to release him on the grounds of poor health," states the definition, the full text of which will be announced at the field hearing in Menskaia colony on December 27 at 10.00 a.m. The court's ruling also notes that the defense has 7 days to appeal the decision.
