Shkil in Czech Republic Met with Danylyshyn and Tymoshenko: When I Get Back to Ukraine Does not Depend on me

The mood of the political exiles is good. Shkil hopes to return to his homeland.

Censor.NET correspondent got in touch with former deputy Andrii Shkil, who is currently in the Czech Republic, where he plans to file for political asylum.

Replying to the question whether he met with his associates Oleksandr Tymoshenko and Bohdan Danylyshyn who already received political asylum, he said: "I've met everyone here. We have a very small Ukrainian society, but the mood is ok. As for my return home, I certainly hope it will happen soon, but it depends more on my homeland than me.

As to his plans for the duration of his stay in the Czech Republic Shkil said he has not decided yet because it is unclear how long he will remain in the territory of that country.

"I think I will be involved in politics, but this time from abroad," he said.

The reason for the former deputy's departure became the criminal case regarding violence during the Ukraine Without Kuchma camapign in March 2001.
