Opposition registered bill to abolish Pension Reform

The Verkhovna Rada registered a bill to abolish the pension reform and renew the old retirement age for women.

The authors of the bill are Batkivschyna lawmakers Liudmyla Denysova and Andrii Senchenko. The bill proposes to restore the position of the pension legislation applicable to the so-called pension reform, Censor.NET reports citing NBN.

Thus, the draft law provides for the establishment of the retirement age for women at 55 years, the establishment required for a pension by age at five years, and length of pensionable service which gives the right to receive the minimum pension by age at 20 years for women and 25 years for men as well as length of pensionable service required for a disability pension.

It also provides for the restoration of order of determining the amount of pension by age, namely: the adoption in calculating the pension and its allocation in connection with the acquisition of the additional length of the average wage per insured person in Ukraine as a whole for the year preceding the year of applying for a pension, and not for three calendar years, as established by the Law of Ukraine "On measures for legislative support of reforming the pension system."

It proposes to remove the restrictions on the rights of a pensioner to register when calculating pensionable pay for any 60 consecutive months of pensionable service in a row before July 1, 2000 until Jan. 1, 2016, and to restore the right to recalculate pensions for working pensioners due to rising cost of living for disabled individuals.

The Law "On Measures for legislative support of reforming the pension system," lays the foundations of the pension reform which came into effect on Oct. 1 of the previous year.
