Accordingto the document, the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz ofUkraine and its subsidiaries will annually submit its proposals tothe government on the volume of gas exports from thecountry.
In the future after having received an exportlicense Naftogaz and its subsidiaries will be able to supply thegas abroad within the quotas approved by thegovernment.
As it was reported earlier, starting January2011 Naftogaz of Ukraine stopped the export of Ukrainian gas toPoland under the law "On the principles of the functioning of thenatural gas market" which forbade such activity.
However, in July 2011 the Parliament authorizedthe export of Ukrainian natural gas which will allow Naftogaz ofUkraine to resume execution of the contract with the Polish stateoil and gas company (PGNiG) for the supply of gas to thecountry.
Naftogaz of Ukraine and PGNiG signed a contractto build a pipeline of medium pressure Ustilug (Ukraine) -Hrubieszów (Poland) for the supply of gas in southeastern Poland inOctober 2004. The construction of the pipeline was completed inSeptember 2005. Under the agreement, the Ukrainian state holdingshall supply to the PGNiG with natural gas of Central Asian orUkrainian origin until the end of 2020.
