According to the document, the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine and its subsidiaries will annually submit its proposals to the government on the volume of gas exports from the country.
In the future after having received an export license Naftogaz and its subsidiaries will be able to supply the gas abroad within the quotas approved by the government.
As it was reported earlier, starting January 2011 Naftogaz of Ukraine stopped the export of Ukrainian gas to Poland under the law "On the principles of the functioning of the natural gas market" which forbade such activity.
However, in July 2011 the Parliament authorized the export of Ukrainian natural gas which will allow Naftogaz of Ukraine to resume execution of the contract with the Polish state oil and gas company (PGNiG) for the supply of gas to the country.
Naftogaz of Ukraine and PGNiG signed a contract to build a pipeline of medium pressure Ustilug (Ukraine) - Hrubieszów (Poland) for the supply of gas in southeastern Poland in October 2004. The construction of the pipeline was completed in September 2005. Under the agreement, the Ukrainian state holding shall supply to the PGNiG with natural gas of Central Asian or Ukrainian origin until the end of 2020.
