Spіlna Sprava Demands to Allow Journalists to Tymoshenko

Civil movement Spіlna Sprava (Joint Cause) addressed the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine demanding to allow media to ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

UNIAN citing the movement's press service reports that coordinator Oleksandr Danylyuk noted that in a situation where Tymoshenko continues the hunger strike in protest against the massive fraud that took place in the parliamentary election, she as a leader of the political power voted for by every 4th Ukrainian has the right to address her voters and voice her own position.

Such an address, he said, will allow to avoid any speculations about a frivolous interpretation of the opposition leader's statements and the current state of her health. "If the captors organized Yulia Abaplova's press conference (where she scolds Tymoshenko), which is interesting only as Tymoshenko's cellmate, we do not see any obstacles to providing the same human rights for the person supported by millions of Ukrainians," said Danylyuk.
