Yanukovych’s Administration is Concerned About Voting in Prisons

The President’s representative to the Parliament Yuriy Myroshnychenko raised questions about the transparency of the voting in special precincts.

President's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Yuriy Myroshnychenko draws attention to the issue of transparency of voting at special precincts where an abnormal turnout was fixed and an unwavering support for the Party of Regions revealed.

In an interview to Channel 5 he said: "For me personally, there are questions to the precincts where people cannot freely express their will, where there are no observers, and where the voting is very unanimous. This problem did not occur on these elections, it has been around since the start of modern Ukraine's history," said Myroshnychenko.

"We all have to fight, all politicians, all interested parties through a cross-check should reveal such facts. No wonder the President appealed to the Attorney General so that he would promptly assess the legality of the actions that take place in the districts, other places, including the special precincts where there are abnormal phenomena which cast a shadow on the voting in such precincts," he added.
