In 2013 Ukrainians Will Have to Pay Real Estate Tax

Starting January 1, 2013 Ukraine introduces a tax on apartments in the amount of 1-2,7% of the minimum salary per square meter, the State Tax Service informs.

Thus, the tax rate for the apartment of up 240 square meters and houses of up to 500 square meters will constitute 1% of the minimum salary (as of the beginning of the year) for 1 square meter. Apartments and houses with larger areas will be taxed at 2.7% of the minimum salary, Segodnya reports.

You do not need to pay for apartment of less than 120 square meters and houses of up to 250 square meters and summer cottages. Also, no tax will be levied on large families. Developers believe that the real estate tax will reduce the areas of the new apartments.
