Hennadiy Moskal held a press conference in Khmelnytsk where he told the details of the assault: "Unknown persons splashed some liquid into the face of Ksenzhuk because they mistook him for me."
"I had a press conference in Kamenets-Podolsk after which I stayed there for additional communication with the press. At his time head of the United opposition oblast HQ Ksenzhuk who looks like me was leaving the premises and bumped into five thugs near the exit. 'Are you Hennadiy Hennadiyevych Moskal?' they asked. He saw that they look aggressive and wanted to protect me from them so he said "Yes." After that the assailants sprayed something in his face from big syringes, hit him couple of times and disappeared," said Moskal.
According to him, Ksenzhuk filed a claim with the city police department. Right now he is in hospital where they are doing some test. The deputy also added that "eyewitnesses took pictures of some of the assailants and already provided the photos to the police." Head of the oblast police press service Inna Pronik stated that the claim is accepted and two men were already identified. "They are local residents. Presently the investigation is ongoing," she added.
