Yushchenko’s Participation in Elections is a Party of Regions’ Scenario, says Lutsenko

Ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko thinks that participation of the former president Viktor Yushchenko in parliamentary elections is a part of scenario of the ruling party aimed at dispersing the votes for democratic and patriotic political powers.

In an interview to Voice of America he said: "I see Yushchenko running for parliament as another participation in the Party of Region's scenario aimed at dispersing the votes of Ukrainian community for democratic and patriotic political powers".

According to the ex-minister's opinion the status of the ex-president provides large opportunities to defend the Ukrainian interests and these opportunities are much greater than those given by a mandate of one of the 450 Rada deputies.

Previously Viktor Yushchenko announced that he will be heading the election list of Our Ukraine party in the parliamentary elections.
