Member of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) Andrii Perov sought to impose pre-trial detention against Pereloma, as being at large he was allegedly able to destroy evidence into Martynenko case. However, the court left unchanged the measure of restraint - Pereloma remains at large under the guarantee of lawmakers.
As reported, NABU detained another suspect in the case of embezzlement of assets owned by Skhidnyi Mineral Processing Plant SE, former Chairman of Supervisory Board of the Odesa Portside Plant PJSC Serhii Pereloma on April 20, 2017. He was later bailed out by Ukrainian MPs.
The investigators believe that Pereloma coordinated activities between an intermediary company and Skhidnyi Mineral Processing Plant SE. He is also a suspect in another criminal case filed into infliction of damage in the amount of 205 million hryvnia to the Odesa Portside Plant PJSC. The pre-trial investigation of this case was completed by the NABU detectives in December 2016.
