As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko on his Facebook page.
Lutsenko said Bondar was detained under the investigation of state funds embezzlement in large amounts.
"The detainee was preparing to flee into the so-called "DPR" ["Donetsk People's Republic - ed.]," the prosecutor general wrote.
During the search of Bondar's place, the law enforcers found an engraved watch gifted to Bondar by Putin, Lutsenko said.
