Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"PGO's Economic Crime Department in conjunction with the SBU Anti-Corruption Department and the Internal Security Department of the State Fiscal Service caught red-handed another taxman. This time it was the head of the State Fiscal Service of Kyiv region. The investigation revealed constant extortions from businessmen and subordinates. The henchmen of the senior official-grafter were bringing him bribes three or four times a week," he wrote.
"100,000 euros, 1 million hryvnia, $ 68,000, collection of luxury watches, and seals of fictitious companies were seized during the searches. It is telling that one of the grafter's associates was the Russian citizen. Ukraine fights against occupants at the front line and thieves in its rear," Lutsenko added.
