National guards have started enhanced patrolling of the center of Ukraine's capital hosting the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

Censor.NET reports citing the National Guard official website.

"The personnel of the first brigade of National Guard's Pivnich territorial administration is out to carry out an enhanced joint patrol with representatives of the police on Khreshchatyk Street, in the area of the fan zone, and adjacent streets until the end of the song contest to ensure the safety and tranquility of citizens," said Oleh Duda, the head of the public order protection department of National Guard's Pivnich territorial administration.

Residents and guests of the capital are asked to understand the security measures and not to interfere with the work of law enforcers.
