Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO headquarters press center published on Facebook.
"The situation in the ATO area deteriorated. The Russian occupation troops opened fire on Ukrainian defenders 47 times. The most intense attacks were recorded in Donetsk direction. The defenders of Avdiivka were fired upon with tanks, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. The enemy employed tanks, 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns against positions near Butivka mine while the defenders of Verkhniotoretske and Luhanske were attacked with 82 mm mortars, IFV weapons and large-caliber machine guns.
"The strong points of the Ukrainian defenders in Kamianka, Zaitseve, and Pisky were fired upon with anti-tank grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. Positions in Maiorsk and Novhorodske were shelled with grenade launchers. Ukrainian soldiers deployed in Troitske were fired upon with machine guns and small arms.
"In Prymorske direction, the enemy shelled the defenders of Marinka and Krasnohorivka with 82 mm mortars and grenade launchers. Defenders of Shyrokyne and Vodiane came under strikes with IFV guns and grenade launchers of various systems. Positions of marines on the outskirts of Pavlopil and Talakivka were fired upon with anti-tank grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. Large-caliber machine guns were also employed against strong points in the vicinity of Novohryhorivka. Activity of the enemy snipers was recorded near Lebedynske and Vodiane.
"In Luhansk direction, the militants shelled Katerynivka with 82 mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers. Novozvanivka was fired upon with grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. Donets village was blanketed with automatic grenade launchers," the situation report reads.
Earlier, the combined Russian and separatist forces committed 18 attacks on Ukrainian troops on April 19.
