Censor.NET reports citing the National Police in the Cherkasy region press service.
"The Cherkasy police department was informed about a group of massively armed unknown persons occupying the premises of Cherkasyoblenerho. Nearby police crews, operatives and a special task force arrived at the scene to find on the second floor of the building some 30 people armed with pump rifles and traumatic weapons," the message says.
As a result of lengthy negotiations, the office of the state company was freed from the unknown visitors.
The police are establishing the circumstances around the incident.
According to a local police official, 11 pump guns, about 500 rounds and 19 traumatic pistols were seized from the detainees who failed to explain why they needed the weapons.
