"Despite the cease-fire agreements reached by the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, Russian-occupation troops continue armed provocations against our troops. 65 attacks on Ukrainian positions were recorded over the past day," the message says.
As reported, the Mariupol sector remains the center of confrontation: "In the area of Vodiane, our soldiers were hit by 122 mm artillery, 120 mm mortars, IFV weaponry and heavy machine guns. Attacks on defenders of Shyrokyne involved 120 mm mortars, IFV weaponry, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms. 120 mm mortars and small arms were used against marines outside Hnutove. 82 mm mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers were used near Talakivka. Positions near Pavlopil, Marinka and Krasnohorivka were hit by various types of grenade launchers. Heavy machine guns were used against defenders near Chermalyk, Hranitne and Marinka. Small arms were fired at defenders of Starohnativka. Sniper activity was registered in the vicinity of Vodiane, Talakivka, Pavlopil and Novotroitske."
In the Donetsk sector, Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka were hit by 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, various types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Defenders of Luhanske were attacked by 82 mm mortars. An anti-tank missile system, 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and IFV weaponry were employed against strong points near Opytne. Various types of grenade launchers were used against positions outside Nevelske. Anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns were fired in the area of Kamianka. Small arms and heavy machine guns were employed against defenders of Butivka mine.
In the Luhansk sector, various types of grenade launchers were fired on positions around Novooleksandrivka and Katerynivka.
On April 12, militants committed 61 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the country's east.
