She said during a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"We have been talking it over with the president for three months now. There is nothing more to discuss, successor needs to be approved," she said.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Valeriia Hontareva to the post of head of the NBU on June 19, 2014. Her candidacy was supported by 349 lawmakers. She succeeded Stepan Kubiv in this post. On April 10, 2017, Hontareva announced her resigantion.
