Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.
"29 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian troops were recorded over the past 24-hour period. The majority of assaults were committed in the vicinity of Mariupol. The enemy fired upon our troops' positions near Krasnohorivka with 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, and large-caliber machine guns. The strong points near Pavlopil and Vodiane were attacked with grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. The enemy employed grenade launchers and small arms against defenders of Marinka. Snipers committed attacks at Novotroitske, Krasnohorivka and Vodiane.
"The defenders of Avdiivka in Donetsk direction were repeatedly fired upon with 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, and large-caliber machine guns. The enemy employed machine guns and small arms against Ukrainian soldiers deployed on the outskirts of Zaitseve and Pisky villages. Besides, the Ukrainian soldiers were attacked by the enemy snipers.
"In Luhansk direction, the ATO forces deployed at the village of Syze came under strike of 120 mm mortars. The enemy also shelled the defenders of Novooleksandrivka with antitank grenade launchers," the statement reads.
"The Ukrainian servicemen strictly observed truce and did not open fire in response despite attempts to invite their retaliation," the ATO Staff press center said.
As reported, five Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in 54 attacks committed by the Russian-backed militants on April 4.
