The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone remains tense but controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Three defenders of Ukraine were injured and one soldier received combat trauma in 37 attacks committed by the militants since the beginning of the day.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by ATO Staff press center.

"The Russian-terrorist forces employed 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, IFV weapons, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns against positions in the vicinity of Luhanske village in Donetsk direction.

"The enemy blanketed positions near Troitske with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, shelled defenders of Kamianka with 82 mm mortars.

"The strong points on the outskirts of Avdiivka were fired upon with a tank, near Opytne - with an IFV. The enemy attacked the defenders of Nevelske with large-caliber machine guns.

"In Mariupol direction, the militants fired at our positions in the vicinity of Marinka with 82-mm mortars and IFV weapons. IFV guns were also used near Shyrokyne. The enemy snipers committed attacks on the outskirts of Novotroitske.

"In Luhansk direction, the Russian occupation forces blanketed strong points near Troitske with 120 mm mortars, position near Novooleksandrivka - with 82 mm mortars. The enemy shelled defenders of Stanytsia Luhanska, Valuiske, Troitske, Popasna, and Novozvanivka with grenade launchers of various systems.

"Ukrainian servicemen were forced to opened retaliation fire to suppress the enemy attacks," the situation report reads.
