Stoltenberg confirmed the opening of a NATO liaison office in Chisinau, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.
The NATO office will be opened upon a request by the government of Moldova, he said at a joint press conference with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip in Brussels on Thursday.
Stoltenberg said it would be a small diplomatic mission with exclusively civilian staff aimed at providing support with the reforms in the country.
