Over the past day, militants committed 83 attacks on Ukrainian positions. In violation of existing agreements, Russian occupation forces pound Ukrainian strong points with heavy caliber weapons.
In the Mariupol sector, 122 mm artillery hit positions in the area of Shyrokyne, Hnutove and Vodiane. 120 mm mortars were used against strong points outside Hnutove. 82 mm mortars, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers were fired on Marinka, Vodiane and Pavlopil. A tank pounded positions around Vodiane, while marines in Shyrokyne came under IFV fire. Sniper activity was recorded in the vicinity of Hnutove and Vodiane.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy used 152 mm artillery near Troitske. Ukrainian strong points around Avdiivka, Troitske and Luhanske were hit by 120 mm mortars. 82 mm mortars were employed against defenders of Opytne, Avdiivka and Kamianka. A tank pounded Troitske, Luhanske came under IFV fire. Strong points outside Kamianka and Nevelske were hit by heavy machine guns and various types of grenade launchers.
In the Luhansk sector, the enemy used 122 mm guns in the area of Kalynovo-Popasna railway platform. 120 mm mortars, IFV weaponry and various types of grenade launchers were employed against positions outside Krymske. Heavy machine guns and grenade launchers were fired on strong points near Stanytsia Luhanska and Novooleksandrivka.
"ATO forces returned fire to suppress the enemy's fire activity," the Staff said.
As previously reported, militants committed 61 attacks against Ukrainian positions on March 28.
