This was announced by Canada Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
Freeland reiterated that Canada would never recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia.
The foreign minister also condemned Russia's support to militants in the east of Ukraine, in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
Canada was among the first countries to introduce sanctions against Russia for its violation of Ukraine's sovereignty. Freeland with a dozen of her compatriots was banned from entering Russia in 2014. After she was appointed Canada's FM, Freeland refused to lift sanctions in exchange of being able to travel to Russia.
