 "Decision will be made," - Minister Nasalyk on Russia coal ban

The Cabinet of Ministers is set to ban imports of thermal coal from the Russian Federation.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine quoting Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk.

"A draft resolution is being prepared. Decision will be made," he said answering a question about plans to ban imports of anthracite from Russia.

According to the minister, the draft will be submitted to the Cabinet for consideration in one meeting.

March 15, 2017, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) introduced a temporary ban on the movement of cargoes across the contact line in the Donbas. On the same day, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said militants started dispatching Ukrainian coal produced in the temporarily uncontrolled territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to Russia.
