 Five Ukrainian soldiers wounded as 85 militants' attacks reported in ATO zone, - ATO Staff

No Ukrainian soldier was killed, five servicemen were wounded in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone yesterday, March 18.

It was reported about 85 militants' attacks at Ukrainian soldiers in the ATO area over the past 24 hours.

In the Donetsk sector, the militants shelled the Army's positions at Luhanske and Avdiivka with 82 and 120 mm mortars and grenade launchers of various systems. Nevelske and Pisky strongholds were fired at from large-caliber machine guns, while the militants used grenade launchers and 82 mm mortars near Opytne, Zaitseve, Kamianka, and Troitske.

In the Mariupol sector, the ATO forces' positions at Vodiane and Pavlopil were shelled with 122 mm guns, while Shyrokyne was mortared with 120 mm shells. At the same time, Marinka and Hnutove strongholds were fired from 82 mm mortars, small arms and grenade launchers.

The number of militants' attacks increased in the Luhansk sector. Krymske was fired from grenade launchers of various systems, 82 and 120 mm mortars, tanks, and 152 mm guns. Troitske strongholds were mortared with 120 mm shells. Novooleksandrivka, Triokhizbenka and Popasna were fired from anti-tank grenade launchers. At the same time, Stanytsia Luhanska came under from grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns fire.
