 Paris concerned about NSDC decision to suspend trade with Donbas, - French Foreign Ministry

France is concerned about the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) to suspend transportation of goods from uncontrolled territories across the demarcation line, and calls on the Ukrainian authorities to resume efforts to lift railroads blockade in the Donbas.

This was said by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrainski Novyny.

France is very much concerned about the decision of the Ukrainian government of March 15 to impose a temporary ban on the goods transportation in the country's east. The Foreign Ministry urged the Ukrainian authorities to continue their efforts to lift the blockade of railroads along the entire contact line.

However, the ministry noted that the tensions escalated over the recent decision of the Russian authorities to recognize the "documents" issued by the "DPR"/"LPR" terrorist organizations and unlawful expropriation of Ukrainian enterprises in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

France called on the Russian and Ukrainian authorities to focus all their efforts on the implementation of the agreements reached in Minsk (Belarus).

On March 15, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed a temporary ban on the movement of goods across the demarcation line in the Donbas. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said the only exception was humanitarian aid supplied by Ukrainian and international organizations.
