Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine has fulfilled almost all the conditions for the allocation of 600 million euros of macro-financial assistance. The funds will be allocated within coming weeks, he said.
In April 2014, the EU declared its readiness to provide financial assistance to Ukraine totaling 11 billion euros, including 1.6 billion euros in loans, 1.4 billion euros in grants, 5 billion euros from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Developmentб and 3 billion euros from the European Investment Bank.
In 2015, the EU proposed a new package of loan assistance amounting to 1.8 billion euros. Under this program, Ukraine has so far received only 600 million euros, while the allocation of subsequent tranches has been suspended. In 2016, Ukraine did not receive any loan tranches from the EU.
